1993.

The Government approved the BILK Complex Programme – in the framework of the state objectives aiming at the development of the Hungarian logistics service centres and increasing the share of combined freight transportation. The underlying reason was the environmental policy concept according to which the reduction of the environmental pollution can be achieved most efficiently by pushing to the city outskirts the traffic, which imposes most of the pollution on the urban areas.

December, 2001

The Deed of Foundation of BILK Logistics Co. Ltd. and BILK Kombiterminál Co. Ltd. was signed. The founders of the companies included Hungary’s most prominent transportation, forwarding and logistics companies. In addition to MÁV Pte. Co. and Volán Tefu Pte. Co. the founders included GYSEV Pte. Co., MÁV Kombiterminál Ltd. and Hungarokombi Ltd.

September, 2002

The constructions started on the BILK site – covering the backbone road network and public utilities and the first warehouse and office buildings

August, 2003

BILK opened its gates: the first 16,000 sq.m. warehouse was handed over ("B1", "B3" warehouses and the related office area of ("B" 3,000 sq.m. )

November 17, 2003

The traffic started in the BILK Kombiterminál.

April 15, 2004

The BILK cafeteria opened

June-July, 2004

8,3000 sq.m. warehouse and 1,200 sq.m. office space were built on the property "G" lot and on "C" lot the warehouse C1 was built with 7,300 sq.m.

November, 2004

On the "D-F" lot a warehouse of 24,000 sq.m. and an office complex of 2,500 sq.m. were built

December, 2004

A postal outlet was opened in BILK

February, 2005

The warehouse "E" was handed over, where Waberer's group carries out the complex warehouse logistic services for Zwack Pte. Co.

July, 2005

Warehouse "B2" of 8,500 sq.m. with rail siding connection was handed for the Waberer's Group.

November, 2005

The first speculative warehouse of BILK with 15,000 sq.m. on lot "I" and the feeder road directly linking BILK to the beltway M0 were handed over.

January, 2006

Waberer’s Holding Pte. Co. acquired 100% of BILK Logistics Pte. Co.

Until 2009

Commissioning of additional warehouses in BILK. When fully completed: the floor space will be over 200,000 sq.m.
