Requirements for our sub-contractors

Our Company provides services primarily through transportation and/or forwarding enterprises. Therefore, it is extremely important for us that our sub-contractors abide by the following quality assurance and environmental protection requirements:

1. Requirements for the Company:

• Availability of valid CMR insurance.
• Availability of applicable permit for activity.
• Availability of transport permits, vehicle, driver and customs documents (TIR) necessary for performing the freight assignments.
• The full compliance with the environmental protection regulations shall be guaranteed.
• Clean professional track record, without major defaults and abuse.
• Continuous checking and improvement of quality and environmental performance of its own operations.
• Correct business conduct, with due respect for the business interests of its customers, delegating freight assignment with the written consent of the customer only.

2. Requirements of the vehicles

• They shall be suitable for the given freight task.
• They shall meet the national and/or international technical and environmental protection specifications.
• They shall have a satisfactory technical condition, without faults arising during the freight task.
• Availability of means of communications offering direct access.
• Availability of devices necessary for fastening the cargo.

3. Requirements of drivers
(Applicable also to the drivers of forwarding sub-contractor):

• Availability of international driver test.
• Observation of the deadlines specified in the freight dispatch.
• They shall respect their reporting obligations specified.
• They shall inspect the cargo taken over according to quantity, condition of packaging and shall report any eventual deviation and take over the goods subject to conditions.
• They shall report the problems occurring immediately.
• They shall observe the instructions received.
• They shall ensure the selective management of waste according to the specifications, with special regard to the hazardous waste.
• In case of an eventual substantial fuel spill occurring while filling up, they shall advise the filling station operator and participate in the clean-up operations.
• In the interest of rationalisation of fuel consumption, as well as of the reduction of exhaust discharge of the engine and noise load they shall make efforts at using the optimum driving techniques (avoiding the unnecessary running and revving of the engine, primarily in inhabited areas and particularly at night).
